Day Tours Out Of Polokwane

Day Trip to the Kruger National Park

Travelling via the mountains and forests of Magoebaskloof, the sub-tropical habitats of Tzaneen and the bushveld region of Hoedspruit, we enter the park via the Orpen Gate and explore the Kruger’s central plains around the camp of Satara, an area well known for it’s prolific wildlife. After brunch we travel further north crossing the majestic Olifant’s River and onto Letaba Camp and its famous Elephant museum before returning to Polokwane exiting the park through the Phalaborwa Gate.

Tour to the Modjadji Rain Queen and cycad forest

The ancient legend of the Modjadji Rain Queen is revered throughout Africa. Join us as we delve into the culture and traditions of the Balobedu tribe and the royal kraal of the rain queen Modjadji, the ancient Modjadji cycad forest and one of the World’s largest baobab trees. We also stop off at several attractive sites in the scenic Magoebaskloof region with its forests and lakes.

Makgabeng & Blouberg Excursion

The little-known Makgabeng Plateau has some of the richest rock art in the country while its unique sandstone rock formations are quite impressive.
The Blouberg Mountain is equally imposing as it rises above the surrounding bushveld plains reaching 2040 m.a.s.l at its highest point. The people of the region are master potters and we will be including a visit to one of the many potteries where beautifully decorated clay pots are created.

Magoebaskloof Magic

Discover the forests, mountains and valleys of Magoebaskloof. This one-day tour will have you marveling at the absolute beauty of the Magoebaskloof mountain region as we visit the world tallest planted trees, explore indigenous afro-montane forests, experience crystal clear mountain streams and waterfalls.
Optional extras on this tour include visits to organic cheese and berry farms or the Zwakala brewery.

Bakone Malapa & Moletjie Tour

Visit the archaeological site of a Northern Sotho village that occupied this area about 250 years ago. The ancient arts of pottery, bead work, beer brewing, maize grinding and fire making are some of the fascinating skills that will be demonstrated.
The afternoon will be enjoyed visiting the very picturesque Moletjie village, here we visit the royal palace of King Moloto, a traditional shebeen and experience a donkey cart ride through the village to a local shangoma where “the throwing of the bones” will occur.
